Going back to Cali; 2012

So here it goes. Just in case you were curious about when, where and how this trip (big adventure as we are calling it) is going to happen,  I will list it out for you!

-The boys and I will leave Saturday morning (May 26th) and head South on Interstate 55 for approx 482 miles. Stop for the night in Alma, MO. We'll stay Sunday to visit with family.
-Head west on Monday for Denver, CO. Total mileage is approx 667 miles on I 70. We will most likely have to stop overnight somewhere in the middle, Kansas I assume. 
-Finish the drive to Denver on Tuesday and stop in Centennial, CO to visit The Frams!
-We'll hang there on Wednesday, stay a 2nd night then head on South to New Mexico to see my Aunt & Uncle on Thursday, May 31st. We'll visit with them Friday. Total mileage for that leg is 447 miles on 25 South.
-Saturday we'll head south-west on I 40 to San Tan Valley, AZ and stop to see The Elrods as well as The Sumrows & Viliborghis in Prescott! We'll probably head to LA by Monday June 4th (My Mom's bday!) or Tuesday.

Total Mileage: 2022!!

It's crazy that I'm considering this to be easy when just a few months ago I was scared to fly on a plane with the boys by myself, for a few hours! Very interesting! I guess the difference is that I don't have an option here. I can't just let the car drive itself or hire someone to do it for me. We made it all the way here in one piece, with only help from Hal at night. So I'm pretty confident this will work. This time, going back to Cali, we're taking it easy. If for any reason I feel that the boys need another day out of the car then we'll stay where ever we are for one more day. But I don't want to be on the road FOREVER. This timeline is already passing a full week. Gotta keep it short and sweet.

We are super excited to see everyone on our trip across the country though; Even if it is only for a day.



Hal should be arriving in Brentwood to stay with The Schliesmans by the time I get to LA. He'll be departing Michigan City on May 31st or June 1st.

The boys and I will be staying with my mom until Hal can find us a place (Stockton, Brentwood, Manteca, etc.) which will probably take a few weeks. I'm hoping 3, at most. But whatever it is, I'm ready for it. We're ready for it. We're ready to be back home.
