Since therapy started almost 2 weeks ago we have seen so many new things that Jeremy likes to do. He will now do things, like drawing on the magnadoodle, that he once did before but stopped doing. He has also taken interest in things he never did before like playing with playdoh, putting puzzles together, playing with cars appropriately, coloring and playing with toys like tinker toys, etc.
But with that we have also seen a change in his general behavior. A few weeks before therapy started Jeremy began biting again. But this time it has been out of aggression. Meltdowns have been more frequent (I know this is partly because of his age); his willingness to go with the flow; sudden outbursts (specifically at the entrance of the grocery store) and also not wanting to go to bed. Like I said, most of this stuff is standard almost-3yr-old behaviors, AND I am lucky that he will go with the flow most times and we know what makes him happy. But it has made day to day life much more stressfull and busy. My only saving grace is that it's going to get better with therapy. And in fact, the therapist says this change in behavior is normal. It means the therapy is working!!
And on that note, it's time to hang out with Jeremy while we watch TS3.
