Jeremy update!

Psych appointment for Jer went well. Hal ended up getting called in so Ian had to play nicely (which he did-even got a sticker for helping to clean up the toys) while Dr Scully asked questions and assessed Jeremy. Towards the end of the appointment Dr Scully suggested Autism. There are a list of key items that Jeremy's actions fell under that suggests he COULD have Autism. Since the first appointment with her she has said that there could be a number of other issues that also have the same "symptoms" (that he has) as autism. She recommended we see a pediatric neurologist and geneticist to rule out or pinpoint any specific issues.
Because I refuse to be negative about this, I choose to listen to only the positive aspects. Jeremy's fine motor skills have improved and he may not need therapy for that. He is communicating with us more and more each day...and eating vegetables (corn) again!!! And all the doctors that we have seen thus far have been very supportive and positive. I in no way feel as though I don't have the resources we need nor do I feel like this will be impossible.
Jer's first speech therapy appointment is this afternoon at 3:45. He will need some sleep before we leave so as soon as I finish this I will put him down for a nap and hang out with Ian.

I am so blessed to have such smart, handsome, loving boys AND husband.

That's all for now!
